The Deluxe Gong Stand Bracket (Single) is an assembled bracket that is to be used for our Deluxe Gong Stands. If your current brackets have received damage or wear and tear over time, purchase a replacement. All hardware needed to assemble this unit is included. Please note: This is a SINGLE bracket. Each Deluxe Gong Stand REQUIRES two of these brackets. Determine how many you need and order that amount.

Our company is committed to manufacturing our steel target systems right here in Pennsylvania. You’ve seen the amazon gong targets and systems, most are made in China. If you don’t care about building up US manufacturing, just buy whatever is cheapest. But if you care about supporting US businesses employing US employees, audit who you spend money with! Our company has been manufacturing steel target systems in SE Pennsylvania since 2015.

Built To Be Portable And Adjustable.

Adjust the length of the legs and the cross board to suit your needs. When you are finished shooting, our unique “lock-in-place” design allows easy transport and storage, even without removing the wooden legs. We know that MOST of our customers need the ability to transport their systems, so we built that capability into this design.

Safe, Strong, And Capable.

This Deluxe Gong Target Stand kit allows the hanging of a multitude of different gongs and it creates a safe shooting gallery of sorts. The hooks have a hinge so that the plate can swing freely when struck, which lessens wear and tear on the gongs. Users could also use chains or straps fastened to the cross 2X4 if desired. One thing to note: Be VERY careful what steel targets you purchase! While you CAN use other brands of target plates on our gong hanger, it is your responsibility to make sure you are purchasing safe steel and using them in a safe manner. We cannot guarantee safety or performance/distance recommendations with ANY gongs or target plates but our own. That isn’t a sales pitch. We just know there is much snake oil in this market. Buy from us with confidence.

– PLEASE NOTE: Brackets and Hooks are NOT manufactured from AR550 steel and are NOT designed to be targets. Bullet impacts WILL cause damage. Hooks and components are designed to resist fragmentation, but direct impacts will cause damage.

– NEVER intentionally shoot brackets or mounting posts. Always wear gloves when handling this product, ESPECIALLY after shooting to avoid sharp edges and lead exposure.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Answer: The first time you set it up it will take a few minutes. After that, it can be set up in less than a minute. The ONLY tool needed is a 7/16″ socket or wrench to tighten the 2X4 legs into position. We INCLUDE a free tool with this system to assist, or simply use a tool you have laying around at home. Once the boards are in place, they can be left in place until they eventually need replaced. The pivot mechanism allows the legs to fold into a more transportable and compact size for your convenience.

Answer: We have tested this system with over 200 pounds hanging from it. We generally would say that you should keep the system as light as possible and minimize side to side rocking while in use. If you get too much weight swinging side to side, it COULD bend the brackets. Replacements can be purchased in the event that you ever need new parts, but if used properly this system will last a lifetime.

Answer: The powder coating will only chip if you bang the components into something else, or if fragmentation hits it. Over time, expect some normal wear and tear on the finish. This is acceptable and normal. However, items that do not get hit with fragmentation will retain their finish for years to come. We don’t like the idea of shipping dusty rusted brackets to you. So we don’t. Just one other way we add value to our products.

Answer: Gong targets feature our 1 year warranty and are guaranteed to be free from failure within that year when used properly. You MUST use proper ammunition (less than 3,000 FPS, NO STEEL CORE OR PENETRATOR, AND follow our distance recommendations ALWAYS).

Answer: We include TWO assembled Saw Horse brackets and two pivoting hooks. This is enough to get you set up to hang ONE two hole gong target or TWO single hole gong targets. IF desired, you can purchase more hooks. We include SIX 2X4 boards with this system but you can also purchase more 2X4 boards for this system.

Answer: We recommend 48″ long boards for all four legs. The center/cross 2X4 can be longer, but we would recommend ONLY going as long as 72″. 48″ across is the ideal length. WE INCLUDE SIX BOARDS WITH EACH COMPLETE DELUXE GONG STAND.

No. The “armor” we use for the strike plates (actual target impact plates) is made from a proprietary material that is manufactured in Sweden. this is the best material we have found in the world. We were largely dissatisfied with the QC of American made strike plates and had too many issues with quality control. Eventually we hope a US manufacturer creates a material that is as available and as stringent as our Swedish plate. For now, this is the best material to service our customers. US Manufactured AR500 and AR550 is used in areas that are NOT main strike plates. Some examples of this are the Rifle Dueling Tree Shields, Plate Rack Shields, Arachnid front shield and hostage brackets.

We source all other raw materials like our mild steel and AR500 steel from domestic mills. SOME hardware will unfortunately come from overseas as there are no US counterparts available at this time. We do NOT use Chinese mild steel or AR500 steel in any circumstances in any of our systems.

Maybe. Just in case, be sure not to eat the paint or lick the target before or after you’ve shot it. If you are just curious, led tastes horrible and will probably cause mental damage. If you have done it once you are likely to do it again. Handle at your own risk, if you choose, you may wear an industry grade hazmat suit and gas mask with a HEPA filter and good luck charm on your wrist.
