The V-FLEX is a premium self-healing C-Zone target built from the same rubber material used in our MOD1 Bullet Trap. Designed for ranges who put a lot of rounds down range, the C-Zone Self-Healing Target can be shot again and again, without the cost or hassle of replacing paper or cardboard every session. Whether you're running competition drills or high-round-count range days, this target gives you fast, reusable feedback and holds up to the demand.

Cardboard, Steel, and Rubber: Three shooting solutions that help you track your performance as you grow your skillset. Sometimes you need the accountability of cardboard, but you need the efficiency of steel targets. That is precisely why our team set out to take our knowledge of premium / virgin vulcanized rubber and build targets that provide you safety, longevity, and performance every single training session. If you are looking for a self-healing target built for years of high volume use, look no further than our V-Flex targets. 

Cut From a Trusted Ballistic Rubber

V-FLEX Rubber Targets are built to last. We used the same advanced ballistic rubber for our MOD1 Bullet Trap, and our Titan Trap. The V-FLEX C Zone Target uses a thinner, higher-quality material that resists tearing under repeated hits. Thousands of rounds. This isn't a disposable target you replace every season. This is a target you train on for years. Each V-Flex rubber target is manufactured from our 7/16" thick premium virgin vulcanized rubber. This is NOT recycled material fragments glued together and compressed. This is not horse mat or conveyor belt material. It is manufactured from new raw materials from scratch to exacting standards. We trust this material for our bullet traps and indoor range products, it performs to that exact standard on the outdoor range as well. 

Every Target Carries the TA Targets Name

Rubber and steel aren't the same material, but they carry the same standard. We didn't build a reputation on steel targets by cutting corners, and we're not about to start with rubber. Every V-FLEX target has the TA Targets logo embossed directly into the material. When your name is on it, it has to be built right. That's not a marketing decision. That's just how we build.

Premium Doesn't Mean Complicated

The V-FLEX C Zone Self-Healing Target mounts with our included TA Targets Shooting Target Clamps, compatible with any base in the TA Targets lineup with our Paper Holders. The backside carries a textured surface engineered to grip your mount or shooting stick. These Target Clamps will mount to any standard 1x2 board or similar. Causing there to be no slipping, no shifting mid-drill. Set it, clamp it, shoot it.

Ammunition Guidance

V-FLEX is rated for ball or FMJ ammunition. This is the ammunition type that lets the rubber seal and self-heal the way it's designed to.

Do NOT use the following:

  • Hollow points
  • Flat-nose rounds
  • Slugs
  • Explosive rounds
  • Incendiary rounds

Running prohibited ammunition through a self-healing rubber target causes damage the material can't recover from. This will cause you to your target to wear faster over time.

Recommended minimum distances:

  • Handguns: 5 yards
  • Rifles: 10 yards
  • Shotgun (buckshot & birdshot only, no slugs): 15 yards. *Note: Bird shot has a higher likelihood of hitting the plastic clamps, which could cause damage to the clamps. 

Backed By a 3-Year Warranty

We stand behind this material. If a Vulcan-X target (under proper use) develops a hole 3 inches or larger, or a tear 4 inches or larger, we cover it for 3-years. Read our warranty policy.

Made Where We Build Everything Else

V-FLEX is cut, packed, and shipped out of Southeastern Pennsylvania. No third-party fulfillment gap between us and you.

PLEASE NOTE: This target allows rounds to pass through the target and DOES NOT stop them. Always run it in front of a proper backstop or berm. This product MUST ALWAYS BE USED in front of a properly engineered shooting berm! No exceptions!

The V-FLEX is cut from the same advanced ballistic rubber compound we use for our MOD1 Bullet Trap and the Titan Trap. It's a thinner, higher-quality material than what you'll typically find in self-healing targets, with no ripping properties even under heavy round counts. This is a premium target, built for shooters who put in real volume and don't want to keep replacing gear.

V-FLEX is built for ball and FMJ ammunition. Do NOT use hollow points, slugs, flat-nose ammunition, explosive rounds, incendiary rounds, or wads. These ammunition types can cause excessive damage to the rubber and create unsafe shooting conditions. This is non-negotiable.

5 yards minimum for handguns, 10 yards for rifles, and 15 yards for shotgun with buckshot only (no slugs). Note: birdshot or buckshot from shotguns has a higher likelihood of hitting the plastic mounting clamps, which could damage the clamps. Shotgun wads MAY bounce off the V-Flex targets upon impact, but do not pose a safety concern to shooters. Always wear eye protection when shooting firearms.

If your V-FLEX develops a hole 3 inches or larger, or a tear 4 inches or larger, while being shot with proper ammunition, we've got you covered for three years from date purchased. Normal surface wear and paint marks from impacts are expected.

Use the TA Targets Shooting Target Clamps, which work with any base in our target lineup. The textured backside is designed to grip your mount or shooting stick, keeping the target locked in place through repeated hits. We typically run 1x2 boards with our self-healing and cardboard targets as they fit well in our Paper Holders.

No. It absorbs and seals, it doesn't contain rounds. Run it in front of a proper backstop or berm. NO EXCEPTIONS. This product MUST be used with a berm designed to ALWAYS capture the rounds that pass through this target.
