Vertx Urban Ghost: Descend into your environment discreetly. 

The Urban Ghost is a streamlined dual strap bag that offers ample space, simplistic layout, and versatility for any daily carry needs. The Urban Ghost is similar in size to the Ready Pack. The main differences can be found in the layout. The Urban Ghost is a more "slick" bag. It is elegant and streamlined. More of what you need, less of what you don't. 

The Urban Ghose is smaller than the Gamut, similar in size to the Ready Pack, but larger than the Transit Sling and Urban Ghost 10L. Where the ready pack is more of an outdoorsman / utilitarian style bag, the Urban Ghost is more street smart, offering clean, accessible and thoughtful ways to store your gear. 

The Urban Ghost 20L can fit most rifle platforms up to 8.6" barrel lengths. Additionally, this bag features a hidden CCW compartment in the rear that provides a perfect location for a concealed handgun. Of course, this back is also armor compatible for added passive protection.

When do we choose the Urban Ghost 20L Bag? 

Many folks will be wondering: should I get the Ready Pack or the Urban Ghost 20L? Here's how we determine which one we would grab. If we are in more urban environments where a slick, streamlined bag is better suited, we gravitate towards the Urban Ghost. In more rural settings where we may have more smaller survival tools that require more pouches and pockets, we lean on the Ready Pack. Both are amazing bags, and they are similar in size. The Urban Ghost just has a little more elegance with a more modern look, feel, and color palette.

Frequently Asked Questions:

In our experience 5", 7.5", and 8.5" rifles will usually fit in the main compartment. It's a snug fit, but it works well for our AR15's and even our Galils with 8.6" Barrels. If you are looking for a bag that can house a 10.3" or 10.5" AR15, the Gamut bag will be a better fit. 

The armor compartment fits a 10" x 17.5" Premier Armor Panel PN: BPP-9017.4. 

This bag is a sleek, streamlined pack. It fits perfectly into urban environments where a tasteful bag is necessary. Additionally it can fit smaller sized rifles discreetly along with a bunch of extra gear for your EDC. 

If you desire a heavier, larger load out or you need to fit a larger rifle, this bag will not be the best fit for you. Additionally, if your everyday carry requires TONS of small pockets and internal storage, you may not find the best match with this bag. Larger load outs typically work better with the Gamut Bag. 

There are plenty of quality bags on the market. There are also many…not so great options. We bought our first Vertx bags back around 2015/2016. We have been a customer of Vertx for years and we have used nearly all of their backpacks, slings, and packs in our personal lives. Our team quite literally carries Vertx bags on us every single day. There is a reason: They are extremely well built, they are laid out well, they can take immense abuse, and the don’t look tactical. The last thing we want is to have bags that look tactical or are laid out poorly. The Vertx bags in general are well built, well thought out packs.

For heavier / larger EDC Load outs a two strap bag will be more comfortable. The weight will be distributed better with the dual straps. Additionally, you'll experience less fatigue when rocking a dual strap concealed carry bag / pack. Smaller load outs are often perfect for sling bags. Additionally, a single sling bag is often faster to deploy a concealed firearm. This is because the bag can stay on body during the draw. Further, a single sling bag when deployed often can act as a "plate carrier" of sorts, positioning the armor panel over your chest and vital organs
