TARGET BASE EXTENDED PAPER HOLDER KIT

This paper holder kit is specifically for our Breakdown Target Base. They are also suitable for our GEN 3 20″ round base. These paper holders are the latest generation which now feature 3/8-16 tapped holes! These tapped holes work well to add tension to your furring strips to keep everything in place. If you are on a hilly or windy range, these new paper holders are a MUST. Also consider adding thumb screws to your order. If you train with 24X36 Paper Targets, these are the paper holders you need. If you train with USPSA targets, consider our standard paper holders instead.

Target Base Extended Paper Holders

You are looking at our Target base extended paper holders for our Breakdown Target Base. In this kit is everything you need to get back to shooting paper and cardboard targets again on your Breakdown Target Base OR Cardboard Target Base. Note: On the Cardboard Target Base these will be installed UNDER the cardboard base legs. If you have questions, email us. They will NOT fit on top like the standard paper holders.

  • 4 Bolts
  • 4 Wing Nuts for easy tool-less installation

You may find that you want to buy a set of thumb screws for your paper holders as well. Purchase: Thumb Screw Kit. Each Paper Holder is tapped for a 3/8-16 bolt to tighten on a 1X2 furring strip OR our custom furring strips.

This kit is a replacement kit in the event that you have damaged your original paper holders.

There is a saying and it always seems to ring true: Anything downrange will eventually get shot. Yes, even your paper holders. Our Gen 1 20" base featured welded paper holders. While this is ideal for a permanent and rugged base, it wasn't the best in the event that a paper holder got damaged downrange. The Breakdown Target Base Changed all that when we switched to removable paper holders. Now you can easily replace if/when they get damaged downrange.

Our Breakdown Base is purpose built for serious training.

The Breakdown Base was a step away from our historically welded round bases. Our mission with the re-design was to create a more versatile and serviceable base. The Breakdown Target Base Delivers just that AND more. Coupling this base with these extended paper holders results in a base that can accommodate 24X36 paper targets and other larger targets. Use with either 1X2 furring strips OR our custom furring strips.

These paper holders are meant for our SECOND generation of 20" base AND Our Breakdown Base AND Our Cardboard Target Base. If your current 20" base has welded paper holders, you will need to get replacement paper holders HERE.

Yes, at distances of 200 yards and further. Closer distance use is violent on the smaller paddles. They will take it for a long time, but it does introduce more wear and tear on the system. If you use 308 on the 3/8" AR550 paddles, you could find the lifespan of the paddles. We recommend using the 1/2" Paddles for all your larger rifle situations.

All our steel targets are manufactured right here in Pennsylvania. Since the beginning we have been manufacturing our products right here to exacting standards. No Chinese steel, no questionable processes or procedures. Only the best for your range and training.

No. The “armor” we use for the strike plates (actual target impact plates) is made from a proprietary material that is manufactured in Sweden. this is the best material we have found in the world. We were largely dissatisfied with the QC of American made strike plates and had too many issues with quality control. Eventually we hope a US manufacturer creates a material that is as available and as stringent as our Swedish plate. For now, this is the best material to service our customers. US Manufactured AR500 and AR550 is used in areas that are NOT main strike plates. Some examples of this are the Rifle Dueling Tree Shields, Plate Rack Shields, Arachnid front shield and hostage brackets.

We source all other raw materials like our mild steel and AR500 steel from domestic mills. SOME hardware will unfortunately come from overseas as there are no US counterparts available at this time. We do NOT use Chinese mild steel or AR500 steel in any circumstances in any of our systems.

Maybe. Just in case, be sure not to eat the paint or lick the target before or after you’ve shot it. If you are just curious, led tastes horrible and will probably cause mental damage. If you have done it once you are likely to do it again. Handle at your own risk, if you choose, you may wear an industry grade hazmat suit and gas mask with a HEPA filter and good luck charm on your wrist.
