The Vertx EDC Transit Sling is small but mighty.

Smaller bags often suffer in terms of capability and organization. This is not the case with the EDC Transit sling bag. When do we choose the tr​ansit sling?

The Transit sling is our choice when we descend into more sensitive areas. Its small form factor makes it blend in well. Further, this bag allows our team to carry concealed micro rifles, PDW's, or submachine gun platforms without raising alarm. This is especially important for concealed carry in churches, malls, movie theaters, or even walking the street in our local towns and cities. This sling bag allows us to be better prepared citizens while being respectful to everyone around us. No alarms raised. Just a simple, capable, compact solution for the prepared individual.

Frequently Asked Questions:

The largest AR15 we have fit into this bag is a 5" barrel length with a silencerco ASR flash hider. Other platforms (Like UZI's, Submachine Guns, and PDW's) may also fit. Overall length of the folded rifle should be around 14-15" to fit well. Additionally, you may need to use a lower capacity magazine to fit properly in this bag vs standard 30 round magazines. 

The armor compartment is approximately 10"W x 16"L. The Premiere Level IIIA armor panel BPP-9029.3 will fit properly in the armor compartment and add level IIIA protection to your bag. 

This is our "church rifle" bag. Whenever we need to go somewhere discreetly with more firepower, we lean on this bag. It is also perfect for someone who is not carrying a firearm, but wants a lightweight bag to house work supplies and medical equipment. It's small enough for daily discreet carry, but large enough to house a ton of medical equipment. 

Heavy load outs are not ideal with a single sling bag. This is just the nature of a single sling. You may get more fatigued if you really weigh this bag down versus a two strap backpack. Further, this bag is not suitable for larger concealed rifles. It's a fast deploy, discreet bag for smaller load outs.

There are plenty of quality bags on the market. There are also many…not so great options. We bought our first Vertx bags back around 2015/2016. We have been a customer of Vertx for years and we have used nearly all of their backpacks, slings, and packs in our personal lives. Our team quite literally carries Vertx bags on us every single day. There is a reason: They are extremely well built, they are laid out well, they can take immense abuse, and the don’t look tactical. The last thing we want is to have bags that look tactical or are laid out poorly. The Vertx bags in general are well built, well thought out packs.

We have partnered with Vertx to offer these bags to you. Once you place your order, we notify Vertx. The bags are then immediately shipped from the Vertx Warehouse. We do not currently hold physical Vertx inventory in our warehouse. 

Single sling bags are usually much faster to deploy. That does come at a cost. Single slings will not be as comfortable for longer periods if you're everyday carry setup is very heavy. In those situations, a dual strap bag will offer more comfort. So in a sense, yes. They are equally capable, just in different roles.
