Your journey begins with the Genesis Tee Post System. This is the beginning, the evolution of your training to become a better defender of life. This system offers just what you need at a price point that makes it possible to train with intentionality. Manufactured here in Pennsylvania, built to help YOU build your shooting foundation.

TA Targets Was Founded To Build Up Defenders

We have been known for our high performance A-DAP Target systems since 2015. We created one of the (if not the) most durable target systems ever created. Incorporating every performance feature possible comes at a larger barrier to entry. In other words, it’s more expensive to manufacture and offer our A-DAP systems. Late 2023 we began working on a project we called Genesis. A starting point. The beginning. A Steel target family that allows YOU to get into quality targets and continue training with purpose.

No Frills, All Business

The Tee Post design is built off an understanding that sometimes you just need a VERY simple, small, and affordable option to SAFELY hang and use steel target plates. We know that steel targets are a big investment, but the reward is equally great when applied properly. If you have Tee Posts laying around, you can fill out your range with ease. Additionally, the Tee post does not need a target base, which makes mowing and maintenance around your range or property that much easier. While the Tee Post hanger may not be the first thought in everyone’s mind, it certainly makes adding more target arrays to your range simple and straightforward.

Safe, Reliable, Purposeful

You’ve seen sketchy, scary systems before. The Tee Post system creates a strong, reliable, and SAFE way to shoot our Genesis Gong Targets. When you show up on the range and see our system downrange, you can rest assured that it was designed with purpose and care to keep your training moving forward. This system is a small investment with big returns.

Who Is The Genesis Tee Post System For?

The Genesis tee post system is for those of you who are just getting started or for folks looking to add MORE steel to their existing range, but don’t want to have more bases around on the ground. Regardless of your skill level now, the Tee Post System will help you level up even further.

You carry your firearm daily. Train with a system that pushes you to grow. Additionally, you can train on this system at 100+ yards with most rifle calibers. If you find yourself primarily shooting pistols and you shoot rifles at 100+ yards, this target system will save you a lot of money and keep your training moving forward. The reality was: Our A-DAP target system is overbuilt for many shooters. The Genesis Tee Post Hanger contains just the right amount of DNA from the A-DAP system to maintain durability, loud audible feedback, and safety while training.

If you find yourself shooting high volume, or you want to train with rifles at close distances (like 30-50 yards), we recommend the A-DAP target system. It is more expensive, but it uses an exotic plate material that is AR550, and the system itself is designed and purpose built for close range training.

3/8″ AR500 Steel: Balanced Cost And Performance.

We landed on domestic 3/8″ AR500 steel for the Genesis Target Plates. This enables us to keep the point of entry as low as possible to allow as many people to train as possible. We know most of our customers are training with a higher amount of pistol rounds vs rifle rounds. For this reason, we kept the build specs of this system in line with that demand. You’re getting exactly what you need, no nonsense. A perfect balance for anyone looking to train more effectively.

The Genesis System features a 30 day manufacturers warranty. You may also purchase an extended limited lifetime warranty separately if desired. Simply select the option on the product page. See our YouTube Channel to watch the Genesis System In Action.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Answer: Ammunition should be a lead core, copper jacket bullet. Muzzle velocity of rifles should NEVER exceed 3,000 FPS or damage may occur. Armor piercing ammunition, steel core, penetrator, or exotic machined solid bullets are NOT approved for use on the Genesis Gong Target Plates.

Answer: The Genesis Gongs work with our Deluxe Gong Hanger, Conduit Gong Hanger, Single Hole Gong Hanger, and our Tee Post Gong Hanger. The Genesis Target pages & product category will showcase all the acceptable options.

Answer: This target plate is manufactured from Domestic (USA) AR500 steel and is 3/8″ Thick. It is NOT the AR550 steel that we use on our A-DAP target systems.

Answer: Everything has a lifespan. When used properly, the Genesis gong target plates will last many thousands of rounds and many, many years. You can expect some edge chips if the edges are struck with high velocity rifles. Additionally, if you are a very high volume shooter you may eventually experience the expected lifespan of these target plates. Replace the target plate if pits, chips or cracks occur. If pitting occurs, increase distance or change ammunition, or both. Using any of our approved hanging methods ensures the longest life possible from your gong target plates.

Answer: We produce everything in beautiful Pennsylvania. We are also sticklers for quality and consistency. Therefore, we needed to keep our manufacturing under our wing. We make each product with love and care for serious use right here. Support US small business making products HERE!

Answer: Genesis gong target plates feature a 90-day manufacturers warranty against manufacturing defects. Additionally, we offer extended lifetime limited warranties on certain products. If you desire more protection, purchase the extended warranty for ease of mind. The good news is these targets are inexpensive. In the event you need a replacement, you can hop on here and order another one. We will have it in your hands quickly. For more information visit Warranty Page

Maybe. Just in case, be sure not to eat the paint or lick the target before or after you’ve shot it. If you are just curious, lead tastes horrible and will probably cause mental damage. If you have done it once you are likely to do it again. Handle at your own risk, if you choose, you may wear an industry grade hazmat suit and gas mask with a HEPA filter and good luck charm on your wrist.
