A-DAP Tee Post Target Mount

The Exodus Tee Post Target Mount is a method for mounting our C Zone or Reduced C Zone A-DAP Target plates (From the Exodus Target Family) to a Tee Post. Man, that was a mouthful. Let’s explain what we mean. Firstly, The A-DAP Family of targets were the first steel target systems we released in 2015. These systems utilize our A-DAP Top Bracket or our Adjustable Armored Post and they fasten to either our Breakdown Base or our Gen 3 20″ Round base. Our A-DAP family of targets shook up the industry because they are offered in AR550 steel. Not only that, our 1/2″ AR550 target plates have a lifetime warranty. Crazy? No. We just know we built the best targets possible.

But what if you want the performance of our curated AR550 steel, but you do NOT want a target base? What if you want higher performance, but you are on a tighter budget? The answer is simple: Get the A-DAP T Post Target Mount.

Simple system, high performance

The A-DAP Target Plates are known for their strength because of the Swedish AR550 that we utilize in the manufacturing process. This AR550 is NOT the same as Domestic/US AR550 that MOST steel target manufacturers are using. It is a very high quality raw material that maintains 95% of the hardness throughout the entire thickness of the plate. Most domestic AR550 is surface hardened and the core is much softer. Additionally, domestic AR550 is almost always manufactured from recycled materials, leading to inconsistencies in chemistry and hardness. We scoured the globe for the highest performance plate available and landed on this AR550.

Additionally, A-DAP target plates feature adjustable lean angles, which can be fully utilized with this A-DAP Tee Post Mount. Gain the performance of our A-DAP systems at a lower price point.

Three Piece Design

The Three Piece Design will ship assembled. Simply unpack your bracket, slide it onto your Tee Post, and install the A-DAP target plate of your choosing. Run our C Zone, Reduced C Zone, Vital Zone, or Mini Vital Zone Plates with ease. This assembly uses less space on your range, and is extremely versatile. Drive a 1.25 lb/ft post into the ground with our Tee Post Driver, install your bracket, install your plate, and get to training.

We manufacture this right here in south eastern Pennsylvania. Further, We powder coat all components and our hardware is coated to resist corrosion. In addition, you will find that all hardware is coated to resist rusting and corrosion. Thumb Screws are included to allow further tightening of the system. Further, please read our FAQ section in the specifications section of this page to answer basic questions about this system. Frequently Asked Questions:

Answer: Avoid shooting your Tee Posts and they will last a long time. If you have rounds impacting the Tee Post, that will obviously shorten the lifespan. Tee Posts are a softer metal, so fragmentation over time will eventually wear them out. Good news: They are very cheap to replace.

Answer: Yes. The largest plate you should consider using is our C Zone Plates. Please MAKE CERTAIN your Tee Post is in good functioning order. Tee posts that are chipped or worn out may not hold the weight of the C Zone plates. This is especially true of our 1/2″ AR550 C Zone Plates. Further, you may use this bracket with our C Zones, but please always ensure that the Tee Post is in good working order. Under NO circumstance should this bracket be utilized with our Goliath Plate. The Goliath Plate is FAR too heavy and large and WILL bend the Tee Posts!

Answer: No, you will not be able to use the hostage bracket with this assembly.

Answer:  This is a PREMIUM line of targets for serious shooters. Therefore, if you are looking for HIGH performance and lifetime durability, but don’t need or want a base, this bracket is for you. You will gain the performance of the A-DAP system without the cost of a base. Additionally, Tee Posts often last longer than wood 2X4 posts.

Answer: We manufacture all our targets and components right here in south eastern PA! Mild Steel for these components is purchased here in the US. A-DAP target plates are produced from AR550 sourced in Sweden. This AR550 is the highest quality AR550 that has the tightest tolerances to OUR specs globally that we have found. This is why this is our choice. It is simply the best, in our opinion (and the thousands of customers that run our A-DAP plates)!

Answer: You need to purchase 1.25 lb/ft tee posts to function with this bracket. Additionally, check your Tee Posts and make sure the stud closest to the top of the post is at least 3/4″ down from the end of the post. If you find a stud (for holding fencing) is too close to the top, it MAY inhibit the bracket from FULLY interfacing with your Tee Post. Please read our instruction manual if you have any questions at all about this. Additionally, you can contact our CS team with any questions you may have.

Maybe. Just in case, be sure not to eat the paint or lick the target before or after you’ve shot it. If you are just curious, led tastes horrible and will probably cause mental damage. If you have done it once you are likely to do it again. Handle at your own risk, if you choose, you may wear an industry grade hazmat suit and gas mask with a HEPA filter and good luck charm on your wrist.
