Get Up And Fight: Standing Against Apathy, Complacency, and Inaction

"We all have battles. Truth is, we often succumb to the weaker part of ourselves. We find reasons to quit, to throw in the towel. We make excuses, and blame situations outside our control for the reason we fail to act. We allow the trials of our world to force us into hiding, to silence our voice. When I originally wrote this script, I was fighting the biggest battles of my life. I knew I had a choice to make: I could quit, acknowledge defeat, and call it a day. Or, I could do what God called me to do and FIGHT.
"As a community and a nation, we have choices we must make. Often, we choose to talk, to complain, to vent frustration instead of taking action. Or worse: we choose apathy. We falsely believe that there is nothing we could do. We sit by silently and watch as the world descends into more chaos. Taking action means we push aside excuses, we become better everyday, and we fight for those we love and for what we believe in and stand for. THAT is the kind of community we want to be a part of building: Thinkers. Doers. Leaders. The kind of people who look darkness, fear, death in the eyes and say "You have no victory over me." There is no challenge we will not face, for we were called for this very reason. We conquer. We set the example. And above all else: We inspire and lead well. You hold more power than you could ever imagine if you just stood for truth, defended what is right, and set an example others can follow. We hope you do not fall to the pressures of the world, but instead you: Get Up and FIGHT!"

At TA Targets, we don’t just build steel Targets. We build mindset.
Get Up And Fight wasn’t written to be comfortable. It was written as a wake-up call.
The words in this piece speak to something we see every day... APATHY. Not just in training, but in how people approach responsibility, freedom, and self-reliance. The “enemy” in this message isn’t a single person or group. It’s complacency. It’s the slow erosion of values when people assume someone else will handle it.
Too many are willing to outsource responsibility without realizing the cost. When nobody stands, when nobody is willing to act with intention, culture degrades.
This piece was written to remind people that nothing is preserved by accident.
“Get up and fight” doesn’t mean reckless action. It means discipline. It means preparedness. It means choosing to be capable rather than comfortable. Training when it’s inconvenient. Paying attention when it’s easier not to. Standing firm in values when silence would be simpler.
The repetition, the intensity, the heat... it’s intentional. Because momentum doesn’t come from hesitation. It comes from commitment. One spark, one decision, and ultimately one person deciding they won’t be passive anymore.
At TA Targets, we believe training is more than pulling a trigger. It’s sharpening the mind. It’s accountability. It’s respect for skill, responsibility, and the freedoms that require effort to maintain.
This video is a reflection of why we do what we do.
Be willing to stand.
Be willing to train.
Be willing to fight apathy.
